Did you know?
  1. At the age of 58, Amitabh Bachchan jumped from a height of 30 feet, along with co-star Manoj Bajpayee, for the waterfall scene in this movie.
  2. While filming the wolf chase scene, the wolf was actually running after its trainer (who isn't shown in the film) and Manoj was running after the wolf, who was unaware of Manoj running behind him with a knife in his hand. When the wolf realized this, it started chasing Manoj, who just about escaped the wolf's clutches and ran inside his van.
  3. Nandita Das was unhappy the way her role shaped up in the end product and felt cheated by the makers, she stated in a press conference that the role was the complete opposite of what was explained to her.
  4. Amitabh Bachchan was flying to New Delhi and director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra met him at the airport and gave him the final script of Aks, and asked him to read something while he is flying. When Amitabh got of in New Delhi he rang the director and told him that he is very keen on the idea and wants to start the project.
  5. The director had 3 stars in mind for the main lead roles, luckily he managed to rope in all 3 first choices for each role.
  6. Amol Palekar did the film for purely emotional reasons as scriptwriter Kamlesh Pandey was a good friend of the actor. Kamlesh started his career as a screenplay writer with Palekar's Ankahee.
